DIOCESAN ASSOCIATION OF PARISH PREX SECRETARIATS OF THE DIOCESE OF NOVALICHES (NDAPPS)
Background:
The first PREX General Assembly in the Diocese of Novaliches was held on May 22, 2005, the objectives of which were:
- To understand and promote the Vision and Mission of the Diocese of Novaliches;
- To assess the status of the PREX Evangelization program in the diocese;
- To organize and have representation in the Council of the Laity, Diocesan Pastoral Council and National Association of Parish Prex Sectretariats.
The assembly, represented by the chair couples of the different Parish PREX Secretariats in the nine vicariates of the diocese, organized themselves into a Diocesan Association of Parish Secretariats (DAPPS) and elected nine vicariate coordinators to form the NDAPPS Secretariat. In turn, the NDAPPS Secretariat chose among themselves the executive officers and created different committees to cater and address major PREX concerns in the diocese, more particularly in the aspect of parish integration and spiritual growth of graduates; formation, training and capacity build-up of lead couples and speakers; outreach assistance; documentation, publication and public relations.
The NDAPPS aims to promote unity and provide mutual assistance amongst all members of the Association of Parish Prex Secretariats in the Diocese of Novaliches.

NDAPPS Spiritual Adviser
Our beloved Bishop, Most Reverend Antonio Tobias, has assigned Rev. Fr. Aldrin Lopez as the Spiritual Director of the Novaliches Diocesan Association of Parish PREX Secretariats. Since June 2006, Fr. Aldrin has been attending the NDAPPS Regular Monthly Meetings which is held every third Saturday of the month at the Pastoral Office, St Peter Parish, Commonwealth, Quezon City.
Commissioning of NDAPPS Coordinators
The coordinators and members of the NDAPPS Secretariat were commissioned by our beloved Bishop, Most Reverend Antonio Tobias during the celebration of the Holy Eucharist that was held last October 7, 2007 at the Cathedral Shrine and Parish of the Good Shepherd, this parish being the seat of the PREX Movement in the country. The affair was attended by some PREX graduates and parish priests in the diocese and also by NAPPS Officials. A simple "salu-salu" was held at the Good Shepherd PREX Hall after the Holy Mass.
NDAPPS Activities, Plans and Programs for CY 2007
- Continue the conduct of Survey and Assessment of PREX Seminars in the diocese with the objective to bring PREX to parishes without PREX and to bring back PREX to parishes which are inactive in the conduct of PREX Seminars.
- Continue the visitation of parishes conducting PREX Seminars so as to provide moral and spiritual support for the continuous growth of PREX in the diocese.
- Conduct a PREX General Assembly Meeting sometime in September 2007 as part of the celebration of the forthcoming Laity Week.
