GUIDELINES FOR THE PARISH PREX SECRETARIATS (PPS)

  1. Every Parish that requests for PREX should form a Parish PREX Secretariat (PPS), after it is able to stand on its own, that will continue giving PREX Seminars in the Parish.
  2. The PPS is composed of:
    1. Executive Officers
    2. Head of Speakers/Head of LCs/Head of Working Committees
    3. Outreach Team
    4. Other positions that the Parish Priest may assign
  3. The PPS Executive Officers are made up of:
    1. Chair Couple
    2. Vice Chair Couple
    3. Secretary Couple
    4. Treasurer Couple
    5. Auditor Couple
  4. The Parish Priest is the Spiritual Director of the PPS. The PPS must be obedient to the Parish Priest. The PPS should always consult and ask permission from the Parish Priest.
  5. The PPS is part of the Parish Council, either by itself or thru the Education/ Evangelization Ministry.
  6. The PPS meets once a month.
  7. A Speakers Bureau is formed to give talks during PREX Seminars.
  8. When PREX classes are conducted monthly, the Parish becomes very active.
  9. The PPS Officers are appointed by the Parish Priest preferably for a term of two (2) years and may be re-appointed for a second term.
  10. The PPS will join other Parish secretariats to form the Diocesan Association of Parish PREX Secretariats (DAPPS) for mutual help and unity.
  11. With the approval of the Parish Priest and in coordination with the respective DAPPS, if existing, the PPS is encouraged to outreach other parishes in the diocese or wherever invited.
  12. In the absence of DAPPS, the Outreach Team should coordinate with the Spiritual Director on Formation of the Diocese and seek approval of the Bishop.
